Saturday mornings 10 to 11:30 am

Journey inside moving life energy. Increase flexibility, relaxation, balance and concentration. Strengthen and enliven the body and spirit. Bring the inner smile out. Experience meditation in motion. Open to all levels. We warmup with Qigong and then transition to the Yang style long form Tai Chi set.

We will meet outside weather permitting, so please bring hat, sunglasses, windbreaker, etc.

Instructor, Fern Jeffcoat has taught various Qigong sets and the Tai Chi Yang Style Long Form since 1993. She also practices and teaches Raja Yoga meditation. Fern combines movement, breathing and meditation to facilitate the integration of soul and body, which helps to ease into a state of health and wellness.

Class for new students starts on the date noted. Otherwise, class is on a drop-in basis. Contribution $10. Please check with our staff for details.

Facilitators: Elizabeth Padilla, Fern Jeffcoat, Harsha Palli

Facilitator: Elizabeth Padilla has been studying and teaching Raja Yoga Meditation since 1985. She has facilitated many seminars, workshops and value based programs, and is the program director at Anubhuti. Elizabeth is a talented singer and accomplished performing artist who touches hearts and souls through her work.

Fern Jeffcoat has taught Qigong and Tai Chi since 1993. She also leads Laughter Yoga sessions. Fern combines meditation with movement, breathing and light laughter to facilitate the integration of soul and body, which helps to ease into a state of health and well-being.

Harsha Palli, B.Tech, has an M.S in Computer Engineering, is an IT Architect and has practiced Raja Yoga meditation since 2005. He resides at our San Francisco center and facilitates classes and retreats at Anubhuti. Harsha specializes in creating a very calm and clear environment for others to experience deep meditation and insights.

Learn empowering methods and activities that create peace, respect, and positive social and emotional skills in young people through a comprehensive values education approach being implemented in more than 60 countries.

Topics Covered:

  • Reflect on values and a process to help kids, from toddlers to teens, explore and develop values of peace, love, respect, responsibility, tolerance, honesty, cooperation and happiness.
  • Refine active listening skills to help young people learn to listen to and process their own emotions
  • Enjoy learning attitudes and skills to build positive, healthy relationships with children and grow their resiliency 
  • Experience relaxation/focusing exercises that help young people be more centered and better able to self-regulate
  • Learn activities and skills to build a culture of peace and harmony  (Which drastically reduces conflict and bullying, of course!)
  • Help motivate young people to make positive choices and learn to stop bullying while protecting them from being radicalized

Diane Tillman is a former School Psychologist, Licensed Educational Psychologist, MFT and the primary author of the award-winning Living Values Series of books. Her most recent book is “Nurturing with Love and Wisdom, Disciplining with Peace and Respect: A mindful guide to parenting”.

Annie Jorgensen is an LVE Facilitator and a retired primary teacher who taught LVE for over 10 years, with stellar results.
